We are thrilled that Jim Isermann, renowned for his bold, graphic paintings, 3 dimensional art, and his contributions to the Tesselle Collection, including the popular Hedge and Polygonal Cement Tiles, has an exciting new exhibition that has opened at the Pacific Design Center. This event offers a unique opportunity to experience Isermann’s distinctive artistic vision up close.

About the Exhibition: Wrapture

Wrapture is a comprehensive survey of Jim Isermann's dynamic body of work from 1986 to the present. The exhibition will feature a striking collection of vinyl decal and painting works, showcasing the evolution of Isermann's exploration of pattern, color theory, and geometry. This presentation highlights the seamless integration of fine art, mid-century design, and decorative craft that defines Isermann's celebrated career.




About Jim Isermann

Born in 1955 in Kenosha, Wisconsin, Jim Isermann has established himself as a pivotal figure in the contemporary art scene. His work intricately balances the realms of fine art and design, drawing inspiration from mid-century aesthetics and the meticulous craft of decorative arts. Over nearly four decades, Isermann has created an extensive and varied portfolio that includes solo exhibitions at prestigious institutions such as the Camden Arts Center in London, the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.

Isermann's art can be found in numerous esteemed collections, including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. His public art commissions span internationally, further cementing his influence and reach. In 2021, Radius Books published a comprehensive monograph of Isermann's work, highlighting his significant contributions to contemporary art.
