In this Savannah, Georgia project, Ipanema Rosa Terrazzo Tiles create a playful, polished backdrop for a bathroom filled with light, texture, and warm metallic details.
The repeating geometric pattern combines soft rose tones with terrazzo aggregate, bringing movement across the walls without overwhelming the space. Used extensively around the shower and glass block windows, the tile becomes a defining architectural element rather than simply a surface finish.
One of the most interesting parts of the room is the pairing of terrazzo tile with glass block. Both materials have a strong midcentury lineage, but together they feel fresh and current. The glass blocks diffuse the Savannah sunlight, creating shifting reflections across the terrazzo pattern throughout the day while still providing privacy.
Warm brass fixtures add another layer of contrast. The shower hardware, controls, and sculptural towel warmer pick up the warmer tones within the terrazzo and stand out beautifully against the pale Rosa palette. Dark wood ceiling beams and the natural wood floor keep the room from feeling overly polished, adding warmth and character.
