About Artist and Designer Shag

We at Tesselle are thrilled to sponsor The Shag House in Palm Springs, and to collaborate with the artist Shag to bring his vision to our cement tiles in The Tapa Collection of Cement Tiles by Shag.

Josh Agle is a painter, illustrator and product designer whose distinctive artistic style draws from commercial illustration from the past five decades, with a mid-century modern sensibility. His work is imbued with an attitude and sly sense of humor which is unmistakably of our time. The paintings themselves celebrate consumerism and consumption on vividly colored sharply rendered panels; the characters interact in lavish, stylish surroundings.
