Tesselle is excited to be a sponsor of Soleil House by Trina Turk, an ambitious Palm Springs renovation that celebrates color, optimism, and midcentury modern design.

Nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains in the Mesa neighborhood of Palm Springs, Soleil House transforms a once-neglected 1963 home into a vibrant, livable retreat. While the original footprint remains intact, the home has been carefully updated with contemporary systems and materials that support modern living, all while honoring the lightness, scale, and ease that define Palm Springs architecture.
As part of the renovation, Trina Turk designed three architectural screen walls using the Sun Breeze Blocks she designed for Tesselle. These sculptural installations bring rhythm, airflow, and bold graphic impact to the property while reinforcing the indoor-outdoor lifestyle that Palm Springs is known for. The repeating sun motif casts dynamic shadows throughout the day and becomes a defining architectural element of the home.
The renovation was completed by Shields Residential, whose thoughtful execution preserves the spirit of the original structure while allowing Trina Turk’s vision to shine through every detail.
Soleil House by Trina Turk is open for guided tours on Saturdays throughout the spring.
