At Tesselle, we share your passion for preserving architectural history while bringing it beautifully into the present. Whether you are recreating a traditional space using our Cement Tiles or updating a mid-century gem with a wall of Breeze Blocks, our team is here to help.
For Casa de Monte Vista in Palm Springs, owned and restored by Joseph Luisi, we recreated a Spanish-influenced tile originally rescued from a historic hotel in town that was undergoing a renovation. The tile’s motifs and Mediterranean palette were carefully adapted into durable cement tile, allowing the design to live on within the estate’s courtyards, archways, and terraces. The result honors the home’s 1920s heritage while delivering the strength and precision of our hand craftsmanship.
At a William Krisel residence restored by Marc and Sally Williamson, artist Shag's Ellipse Breeze Blocks were used to frame a doorway. Krisel’s homes helped define Palm Springs modernism, known for their open plans, clerestory windows, and seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living. The installation celebrates that legacy with light, shadow, and rhythm.
