We are excited to share a beautiful installation at a private residence in Point Loma, San Diego, California, designed by LASD Studio and installed by Jeff Miller of Landscape and Beyond. This project features Tesselle’s Circlet and Crater Breeze Blocks, used in a fluid, sculptural layout that complements the surrounding coastal landscape.
The project, The Pearl of the Sea, was inspired by the clients' love of the ocean and their desire to bring its colors, textures, and rhythms into their daily lives. Led by the vision of LASD Studio principal Yura Lotonenko, the front-yard garden draws on underwater landscapes and coastal ecology to blend art, sustainability, and innovative hardscape design.
Surrounded by volcanic rock, succulents, driftwood, and palms, the Tesselle blocks become part of a living landscape that celebrates the ecological story of the coast. The wall filters light, frames the sky, and softens the boundary between built space and nature, all while offering the durability needed for a coastal environment.
We are grateful to LASD Studio and Jeff Miller for sharing this thoughtful design. Projects like this show how Breeze Blocks can bring architecture, landscape, and environment together in a meaningful way.
