Design Inspiration Blog — Breeze Blocks

A bold feature wall anchors this space with crisp geometry, rich color, and a mix of pattern and dimension that reads beautifully from across the water. This installation pairs two Tesselle materials, Sunbeam Hexagonal Cement Tiles and Orb Breeze Blocks, for a look that feels modern, architectural, and perfectly suited to New Mexico light.

Tesselle is excited to sponsor Trina Turk's Soleil House, where four large panels of her Sun Breeze Blocks, produced exclusively by Tesselle, conceal the carport, and provide bold design and shade while maintaining airflow.

A dramatic entry sets the tone at the Mojave Resort, where Globe Breeze Blocks frame the approach to a secluded pool courtyard. The installation blends mid-century modern geometry with the relaxed glamour of a desert retreat, guiding guests along a curved path that builds anticipation for the luxe pool area just beyond the gate.

Located at 73100 El Paseo, Palm Desert, CA 92260, Porta Via has been a standout destination since opening in 2022. Great food, a beautiful ambiance, and a setting that feels both relaxed and refined keep us coming back. A key architectural feature throughout the project is the use of Tesselle Rotary 11.4" White Breeze Blocks.

This Georgetown, Texas backyard feels more like a private resort than a residential landscape. Anchoring the space is a sculptural breeze block wall built with Tesselle Crater Breeze Blocks, creating a striking backdrop for a poolside outdoor living area designed for evening gatherings and relaxed luxury. The repeating circular pattern of the Crater block introduces rhythm and texture while maintaining openness. By day, the wall filters light and frames views of the surrounding landscape. By night, warm architectural lighting animates the surface, turning the wall into a glowing design feature that plays beautifully against firelight and water reflections. Positioned behind...
