In Sun City, Arizona, designer and realtor Megan Panetella drew inspiration from the iconic sidewalks of Rio de Janeiro to create two serene, neutral bathrooms that are anything but ordinary.
For one space, she chose Copacabana Silveira—a tile inspired by the wave-like promenade of Copacabana Beach. Rendered in warm gray and white terrazzo with genuine mother of pearl in the aggregate, it adds subtle shimmer and luxurious texture to the walk-in shower.
In the second bath, Megan used Ipanema Costa, known for its bold interlocking pattern. By laying it horizontally, she gave the wall an unexpected twist and a sense of modern movement. The tile’s larger white terrazzo aggregate pops beautifully against the soft gray surroundings.
Both bathrooms feature clean lines, brass fixtures, and minimalist finishes—proving that neutral doesn’t mean boring. These spaces are warm, sophisticated, and quietly showstopping.
