This kitchen was designed around one standout element: Ipanema Agata Terrazzo Cement Tiles. Installed as a full-width backsplash, the tiles bring texture, rhythm, and warmth to an otherwise quiet palette of wood, stone, and soft white cabinetry.
The terrazzo pattern adds visual movement without overpowering the space. From a distance, it reads as calm and cohesive. Up close, the layered detail reveals itself, giving the kitchen depth and character. The result is a backsplash that feels decorative but grounded, expressive yet timeless.
Natural light from the window plays beautifully across the surface, highlighting the subtle variation that makes cement tile so appealing. Paired with light oak cabinetry and a generous island, the backsplash anchors the room and turns a functional surface into a true focal point.
Designed by Karin Jeske for Tesselle, Ipanema Agata Terrazzo Cement Tiles are well suited for kitchens that want personality without excess. This installation shows how a carefully chosen pattern can elevate the entire space.
