Our recent visit to the new PACE Senior Care facility in Victorville, CA, left us thoroughly impressed. These breeze blocks not only add to the building's aesthetic appeal but also serve functional purposes, providing enhanced shading and privacy while facilitating airflow and filtered sunlight. Once the facility opens, clients, residents, and employees will have the opportunity to experience firsthand the benefits of these breeze block walls, which not only contribute to the overall design ambiance but also offer added security without compromising on the enjoyment of the beautiful local environment, characterized by abundant sunshine and fresh air.

"This is an especially meaningful project for us because our blocks are adding beauty to this project while supporting the functional needs of the space on so many levels," said Karin Jeske, owner and designer for Tesselle. "Providing building materials for important nonprofit projects is a growing part of our business. We love supporting projects dedicated to members of the communities they serve."

In discussing the project, Pontious emphasized the growing need for such facilities as the population of senior citizens in the region expands, noting that the doctors intending to staff the center have already established medical practices in the area. Pontious highlighted the extensive planning behind the project, which includes a 15,500-square-foot first floor and a 2,829-square-foot second floor, featuring numerous exam rooms, rehabilitation spaces, therapy areas, activity rooms, dining facilities, staff offices, and lounge areas. Theproject included street improvements and on-site enhancements such as landscaping, decorative fencing, and the provision of ample parking spaces, including those for patient transport vehicles.

Michael Pontious underscored the meticulous planning and consideration for the needs of the senior community in the High Desert region, signaling a significant step forward in addressing the growing demand for senior care services in the area.

PACE, or Program of All-Inclusive CarePontious for the Elderly, is a comprehensive healthcare program catering to the needs of older adults with complex medical conditions. Established with the aim of providing integrated, community-based care, PACE offers a range of services including medical care, rehabilitation, social services, and caregiver support. With a focus on promoting independence and enhancing quality of life, PACE programs operate through interdisciplinary teams comprising healthcare professionals such as doctors, nurses, therapists, and social workers who collaborate to develop personalized care plans for each participant.

Participants in PACE benefit from coordinated and holistic care that addresses their medical, social, and emotional needs, allowing them to remain in their homes and communities while receiving the support they require. Through regular assessments and ongoing monitoring, PACE ensures that individuals receive timely interventions and access to necessary services, thereby minimizing hospitalizations and improving overall health outcomes. By emphasizing preventive care and proactive management of chronic conditions, PACE not only enhances the well-being of older adults but also provides peace of mind to families and caregivers knowing their loved ones are receiving comprehensive and compassionate care.

Next time we visit, we hope to see residents, clients and associates enjoing the outdoor spaces enclosed by our Tesselle Rotary Breeze Blocks.
